The following activities have been arranged for the FCS&E Attendees by Southwest Discovery USA. Each activity will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Please note that all activities are optional and participation will require additional purchase.
Golf Outing:
This is your chance to play a world championship golf course in the acclaimed golf capital of the South.
The outing includes 18 holes of championship golf at the Raven Golf Club at South Mountain, green fees, shared cart,
sleeve of balls, prizes, pro direction and award ceremony. The 18 hole championship course was acclaimed a “
must be played” course by the Golf Digest Magazine.

Diamonds and Denims:
This half day tour has it all – the desert, remnants of old mining towns settled over a hundred years ago, Western towns, unique shops and art galleries and most of all unbelievable scenery. Much of the natural scenery is spectacular, with massive piles of granite boulders, sharp mountains and an abundance of desert growth that thrives at this 2700-foot altitude. The tour will begin with a drive through the desert that has been described by National Geographic as the most beautiful desert drive in the country. We will then visit Cave Creek, an old mining town, and will make a stop at the town of Carefree with its famous Sun dial Clock , and Spanish Village– a little piece of “Old Mexico” . We will also make a stope at El Pedregal Festival Marketplace, a colorful and one of a kind desert market built amongst the boulders, featuring hand-crafted jewelry, fashion, art and more. The tour includes a short easy walk in the desert to learn about the varied cacti and desert plants.
